Preserving Ohio Heritage Since 2010
Honoring the Legacy of the Ohio Veterans Children's Home
Home History Fund Inc is dedicated to documenting and preserving the rich history of the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home — ensuring the stories of its residents live on for generations.
Our Mission
Preserving History, Honoring Memory
The Home History Fund Inc was established to create print, video, and other educational materials documenting and preserving the history of the Ohio Veterans Children's Home — formerly known as the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home.
In conjunction with this mission, we work to restore and maintain the cemetery and gravesites where many orphans from the home were laid to rest. The property, including the museum and cemetery, is owned by a separate tax-exempt organization.
All educational materials produced are provided to the museum and made available without a fee on a nondiscriminatory basis to the public.

What We Do
Our Core Programs

Print, video, and multimedia resources documenting the history of the Ohio Veterans Children's Home, available to the public and museum free of charge.
Home History
Comprehensive documentation of the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home — its founding, evolution, and the lives of the children who called it home.
Cemetery Restoration
Ongoing efforts to restore and maintain the cemetery where many orphans from the home were buried, ensuring dignity and remembrance for every life.

Sacred Ground
Restoring the Cemetery & Gravesites
Many orphans from the home found their final resting place in the cemetery on the property. We are committed to restoring and maintaining these gravesites with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Our restoration work includes cleaning and preserving headstones, maintaining the grounds, and ensuring this sacred ground remains a place of peace and remembrance for families, descendants, and visitors.
The property upon which the former home, museum, and cemetery are located is owned by a separate tax-exempt organization. We work in partnership to support its preservation mission.
